| The San Francisco Firefighter's Toy Program began in 1949 with some Firefighters repairing discarded toys in order to give them to 15 poor children of the City. Today, the tradition still carries on - bigger than ever - with Firefighters, Retired Firefighters, their Families and Friends, working and donating time, money and toys toward making every child's Christmas a happy one. | | If you are planning a Holiday party, why not consider a "TOY" party? The toys you collect can be brought to ANY San Francisco Firehouse, and what better way to meet and greet SAN FRANCISCO'S BRAVEST? | | Did you know that the Program operates year round? It does, bringing toys for sick children as well as those displaced from their homes by fire, abuse or other catastrophie. | | | | | Call the volunteers at the Firefighter's Toy Program! They will bring a toy collection barrel to your holiday business event or party, and SFFD Firefighters (on their own time) will show up to accept your donations! To arrange a toy barrel for your event, visit their new website! http://sffirefighterstoys.org/. | | This is an unofficial site, not maintained by the SFFD, SFFD Firefighters, nor their representatives. It is donated and maintained by the "Gear Wizard", Bill Cereske, at www.SFFDGear.com, If something here displeases you, kindly blame me, not the program. If the Toy Program wants this site for itself, it will belong to them in a heartbeat. This name and site was registered and is maintained for the benefit of the program and not for a cent of profit. |

Take some action! To send a few dollars, send it to: SF Firefighter's Toy Program, 1139 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA 94104 (That's the Union office, and I'm assured that every dollar gets to the program). To bring a toy: ANY San Francisco Firehouse or 1300 4th Street (at 3rd). (Ground zero, if you will). Donate your toy there then ask "Do you need some help"? Chances are, you will work for several of the best hours of your life. Please bring your toys UNWRAPPED. It's just a fact of life nowadays. And please accept our deepest thanks for any donation of any size. 100% goes to toys for the children.
